The man who nobody knew was laid to rest at Lonan this morning with about 20 people present to mark his passing.
The man's body was recovered by the fishing vessel "Anzaz" on the 12th April 2013 in a badly decomposed state.
However, despite extensive inquiries here and in the UK, DNA sampling and checks with the missing persons bureau, authorities were unable to discover who he was or where he came from.
But after an interview on Manx Radio this morning with Methodist Minister DeeDee Haines, a number of people felt drawn to the sad occasion.
Reverend Haines says it was typical of the people of the Isle of Man
