Plane turned around 'as a precaution'
A Loganair flight to Manchester returned to the Island shortly after take-off this morning after what's believed to have been a bird strike.
Pictures were posted online which appeared to show a cracked windscreen on the aircraft.
A spokeperson from Loganair, said: “We can confirm flight LM693 returned to the airport as a precaution following a technical issue shortly after departure."
"Safety is always the number one priority at Loganair and we’d like to thank our customers for their patience and understanding.
Loganair says customers were transported to their destination 'as soon as possible.'
