Live at Home to mark National Loneliness Week in June
A charity on the Isle of Man plans to shine a light on loneliness this June - which will mark National Loneliness Week.
It's after the results of the Social Attitudes Survey revealed 7.2 percent of people have a degree of social inclusion every day while 11.4 percent socalise less than once a month and 1.3 percent never do.
David Gawne, the chair of Live at Home, says because of the results, and knowing that the charity assists 500 people in independent living - many of whom would be in isolation, they've decided to highlight it before it increases even further.
He says one of the factors they'd be looking to speak about is intergenerational work:
Creamery working to solve the mystery of tight screw caps on cartons
Young people's bereavement drop in service coming to an end
Pub's inclusive toilet signs vandalised
£100K cash injection for energy efficiency scheme
