The Infrastructure Minister says his department is ‘bending over backwards’ to encourage more investment on empty sites in Douglas like the Lord Street Bus Station.
The future of the site was discussed in Tynwald this week - which has been earmarked for a new retail and cinema complex for a number of years.
Currently it's an empty lot with motorists parking at will.
Chris Thomas says he hopes to see action on the site ahead of the 2026 election but that it’s likely developers will have to resubmit the planning application:
