Education minister pressed about school meals in HoK
There are just 44 vegetarians and 4 vegans registered with primary schools and the schools meal service.
The answer from Education Minister Graham Cregeen in the House of Keys to a question from Onchan MHK Julie Edge who believes this represents less than 1% of pupils.
Mr Cregeen was then pressed why nearly half the school menu caters for vegan and vegetarian choices.
He then listed some of the options available to all pupils:

'Essential' that school staff recognise the signs of an allergic reaction
'High' risk of wildfires over the next week
'Come From Away' to continue after cast member injured during rehearsal
'Parks in worse state then when I started' says Peel commissioner
