An 18-year-old Peel man who admitted causing death by dangerous driving has been jailed for three years and banned from driving for five years.
In March, Craig Bridgewater was driving a Ford Fiesta with seven passengers in it, including two in the boot, when the car left the Switchback Road and barrel-rolled five times.
Fourteen-year-old Lucia Porter was thrown from the car and crushed underneath it.
This afternoon at Douglas courthouse, Deemster Montgomerie told Bridgewater he’d been very fortunate nobody else died in the incident in March.
