Manx Utilities have to wait until Monday to fix leak
Manx Utilities says it isn't possible or practical to try to fix a burst water main at Quarterbridge over the weekend.
The leak, which is losing around six litres a second, was discovered by their own monitoring systems on Friday.
Remedial work is set to get underway at 9am on Monday morning after the rush hour, and it's hoped will be completed in one day, depending on how badly the pipe is ruptured.
Traffic lights will be in place, but motorists are being warned to expect delays.
Alison Cottier from MU says unfortunately doing the work at the weekend wasn't an option:
Three-month wait for state pension forecast statements
OFT to investigate possible regulation of funeral directors
"One of the Island's foremost champions of Manx heritage" to receive Tynwald Honour
No timeline yet for reinstatement of rehab service to north
Venezuela Fury & Noah Price wedding "a true showcase of the breadth and quality of Manx services"
