MUA confirms work will take place in Patrick area
Essential maintenance works will see some Manx Utilities (MUA) customers experience an interruption in their electricity supply on Friday (2 May).
The authority has confirmed its Overhead Line Team will be performing works from Patrick Village (including Glen Maye and Dalby) to The Lhag.
Affected customers will receive an outage notification by post.
It says the work is necessary due to a fault in its essential protection equipment that requires urgent attention.
Whilst the issue 'does not affect the day-to-day operation of the equipment and poses no risk to the public', the authority says it is 'crucial for the protection of the network' that it prioritises these repairs.
Additionally, the MUA is to take the opportunity to conduct other remedial work, such as tree cutting, to minimise future disruptions in this area.
Anyone with questions or concerns, or customers who believe they may be affected but have not received a notification, are asked to contact the MUA team at 687687.
