Ceremonial service underway at York Minster
A service of consecration for the new Bishop of Sodor and Mann is underway at York Minster (1100, 22 June).
The role is being bestowed on the Venerable Peter Eagles, who until now has been a senior chaplain in the Army.
The Archbishop of York Dr John Sentamu will perform the ceremony, in front of a large congregation, including church colleagues and well-wishers from the Isle of Man.
Diocese communications officer Reverend John Coldwell is there, and says he's looking forward to a rich Christian spectacle:
