Coastguard helicopter being called in
Police have declared a major incident in Laxey this morning.
They say severe flooding has led to reports of people being trapped in houses in the Glen Road area, where the power to 150 properties has been turned off for safety reasons.
Anyone who is trapped is being advised to go upstairs and keep across local media for further information.
All emergency services are in attendance.
Inspector Gavin Callow says they're also receiving help from a coastguard helicopter.
