Manx Care confirms extra staff will be used to 'bolster' health service
Medical staff on the Isle of Man will take part in a ‘major incident exercise’ next month to prepare for TT.
The multi-agency session will take place on 4 and 5 May to test the response plans which will be the same as those used last year.
Manx Care says planning for this year’s event has begun ‘in earnest’ with a TT planning group meeting for the first time at the end of March.
Additional staff will be brought in across a number of services to ‘bolster’ the workforce - more equipment and blood stocks have also been ordered.
Extra funding has been secured from the Department of Health and Social Care to recompense Manx Care for the additional money required to make the service ‘resilient’ during TT.
