The fourth ranked player in the world is among the grandmasters competing
The start of a major international chess tournament is set to get underway, which is the first time the Isle of Man has been chosen by the world governing body to host it.
It'll continue over an 11-day period at the Villa Gaiety.
Among those competing include some of the strongest men and women grandmasters on the planet, hoping to secure some of the $600,000 prize pool.

Main route through Foxdale closed due to RTC
Michelle Mone-linked PPE firm liquidated and unlikely to repay £148m
Yellow weather warning for coastal overtopping
Proposed new laws would support homeless people on the Isle of Man
