Fire service says checks can prevent 'the worst Christmas imaginable'
If you're putting your Christmas decorations up this weekend, make sure you include a fire safety check as part of the process.
That's the advice being issued by the Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service heading into the festive period.
Officers say spending 10 minutes to ensure your decorations are safe could save you from the worst Christmas imaginable.
The safety check includes ensuring smoke detectors are working and having a planned escape route in the event of a fire.
