Effort urged to attract more visiting players
There's a call for government to do more to promote the Island as a world class golf destination.
Private tour organiser Ged Power claims golfers spend more money than any other type of visitor on accomodation, food and drink, and course fees.
The Department of Economic Development currently spends £5.2 million a year on tourism.
Meanwhile, the golf industry is estimated to be worth as much as £13 billion in Europe.
It comes weeks after the unveiling of plans for a brand new luxury clubhouse on the Glen Truan estate.
