People urged to secure their buildings after thefts in Laxey
People are being warned to ensure their sheds and garages are locked.
It follows reports of thefts from outbuildings in the Laxey area over the last few days.
Dewalt power tools, and Stihl garden equipment, are among the items stolen.
Police say the public should make it harder for opportunist thieves by ensuring sheds and garages are locked.
In a statement, on social media, the Northern Neighbourhood Policing Team add: "Albeit this type of offence is rare on the Island [but] we have to be mindful that it can occur."
If you see people acting suspiciously, or have any information regarding the thefts, you can contact Police Headquarters on 631212 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
