Minister says he was right to pursue sale
Bill Malarkey has stood by a controversial decision to sell off an iconic building in the north.
Ramsey Courthouse was put up for sale by the Department of Home Affairs in February, prompting concern from residents who wanted to see it stay publicly owned.
The Minister faced backlash when he refused to answer questions over the sale in Tynwald.
However the affair was put to rest in April, when the Courthouse was sold to Ramsey Commissioners for £80,000.
Appearing before a Tynwald scrutiny committee on Wednesday, Mr Malarkey maintained he was right to pursue the sale:
