New CEO of Department of Health and Social Care appointed
Dr Malcolm Couch has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer for the Department of Health and Social Care.
Currently Chief Financial Officer of the Treasury, he'll be taking over from Mark Charters on Monday (June 29).
Minister of Health Howard Quayle says he's looking forward to working with Dr Couch.
Interim arrangements will be put in place at the Treasury while his replacement is found.
The role, which will be advertised in the Financial Times and the Guardian newspapers as well as locally, is open to qualified accountants.
Treasury minister Eddie Teare thanked Dr Couch for his contribution to the department and wished him well in his new role.
