Charge dismissed after no evidence offered
A man accused of assaulting a woman has been bound over to keep the peace for a year.
John Gleeson, of Rowany Villas in Port Erin, appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 58-year-old pleaded not guilty to assault on 16 December but the prosecution offered no evidence when he agreed to a binding-over order.
Magistrates marked the charge as dismissed and bound him over for 12 months in the sum of £500.
