Seventy-four-year-old's charges date back to 80s & 90s
A Douglas man accused of historical sex offences against children has been committed to a Court of General Gaol Delivery.
Seventy-four-year-old John Edward Corran of Edmund Chadwick Grove appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas courthouse.
He hasn’t yet entered pleas to charges of rape and attempted rape, but entered no plea to two counts of indecent assault on a child as well as five counts of indecent assault.
Prosecution advocate Hazel Carooon told the court the offences are said to have been committed between 1982 and 1997.
Mrs Hughes committed the case to a Court of General Gaol Delivery, and Mr Corran will appear in the higher court on a date to be fixed.
