Douglas pair appear in court
A man accused of threatening to smash a woman’s face in will appear in court again in June.
Forty-five-year-old Gary John Beattie of Belmont Terrace and forty-eight-year-old Kaitlin Michelle Giles of Lord Street, both of Douglas, appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas courthouse.
Mr Beattie pleaded not guilty to using provoking behaviour and misusing the Island’s telecommunications system, and Miss Giles denies obstructing police.
Both were bailed in the sum of £500 and appear next appear in court at a pre-trial review on 22 June.
