Case committed to higher court
A man from Merseyside accused of trying to smuggle £120,000 of cannabis to the Island has been committed to the court of General Gaol Delivery.
Forty-six-year-old Thomas James Taylor, of Lilly Green in Walton, denies producing cannabis and possessing it with intent to supply in April this year.
Appearing before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas courthouse, he made no application for bail.
He was remanded in custody and will appear again at the Court of General Gaol Delivery on a date to be fixed.
