41-year-old denies two provoking behaviour charges
A Douglas man who is accused of ‘upskirting’ will stand trial.
Hasan Gogebakan, of Bucks Road, denies two offences of provoking behaviour.
The 41-year-old allegedly took a photo of a shop worker on 3 September; two days later he’s accused of taking a photograph under a cubicle at the National Sports Centre.
A pre-trial review will take place on 14 February – he’s been bailed until that date.
Update: Gogebakan changed his plea to guilty for one of the offences of provoking behaviour on the day of his trial - he also accepted an alternative charge of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour. He was sentenced at Douglas Courthouse on 13 July.
