Police issue update on incident outside Douglas bar
Police have confirmed an unconscious man who had been involved in an incident outside 1886 over the weekend did not need CPR.
A member of security staff was arrested following the incident, and has since been released on police bail.
The constabulary has issued an update, revealing the male was placed in the recovery position, but no chest compressions were needed as he had a pulse and was breathing, despite claims on social media that CPR was administered.
The man was taken to Noble's Hospital and kept in overnight, but has since been discharged.
Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward, with those who saw what happened asked to contact CID at police headquarters on 631212.
