Police issue update on Easter Monday incident
A man has died after his car went off the road and down cliffs on the east coast of the Island on Easter Monday.
An update issued by the police this lunchtime says the 80-year-old Douglas resident has died in Noble's Hospital from the injuries he sustained in the incident.
His vehicle went off the edge of the road in the area between Port Soderick and Marine Drive junction at an unknown time: officers say it was reported to them just before 7pm.
The police are urging people to avoid speculation and respect the privacy of his family.
They're also asking anyone who saw a blue Vauxhall Mokka car in the area of Port Soderick yesterday afternoon, to contact them via 631212.
