Police not treating death as suspicious
Police have confirmed a man was found dead in an Island plantation on Sunday morning (19 July).
Officers say they were working with Civil Defence Isle of Man, the Fire and Rescue Service and other partner agencies to conduct a search for the 'high-risk missing person'.
The Isle of Man Constabulary has now confirmed a man was found in South Barrule and his 'next of kin and family have been informed'.
The first stage of the inaugural 2026 Isle of Man Hill Rally event was called off yesterday (Sunday) whilst emergency services dealt with the scene.
The death is not being treated as suspicious; no further information will be released at this time.
Officers say their 'thoughts are with those affected'.
