Collected over nine years
A Port Erin man who admitted possessing more than 3,000 indecent images of children has been jailed for 13 months.
56-year-old Ian McLoughlin, of Shirragh Way, collected the images between 2007 and last year.
The court heard more than 400 of the pictures were classified as "Level 4" - one below the most serious category.
Sentencing McLoughlin at Douglas Courthouse today, Deemster Montgomerie also placed him on the sex offenders' register for six years.
