25-year-old caught at friend's house by police
A man's admitted breaking lockdown laws after he was caught by police visiting a friend’s house in Anagh Coar.
Twenty-five-year-old Liam Priestnal, of Lheannag Park in Douglas, appeared via live video link from custody before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas courthouse.
At a previous hearing he admitted leaving his home without good reason but pleaded not guilty to attending an illegal gathering.
Prosecutor Hazel Carroon told the hearing a member of the public rang police on 25 January to report Priestnal.
Officers went to an address in Anagh Coar shortly before 8pm and discovered Priestnal, and another man, inside.
Both men told officers Priestnal had needed to collect a mobile phone charger and both were arrested.
Mrs Hughes bailed him in the sum of £500, imposing a curfew which means he must be at home between 10pm and 6am.
He'll appear in court again for sentencing on February 25.
