Romanian was nearly three times the legal limit
A Romanian man has pleaded guilty to driving whilst almost three times over the legal limit for alcohol.
Vasile Moraru was reported to police by a member of the public after they claimed they had seen his silver BMW collide with several parked cars on Castle Mona Avenue.
Officers found his car parked outside his home address and saw Moraru trying to get in to the building. His breath smelt strongly of alcohol, and a later breath test gave a reading of 101 micrograms - the legal limit is 35.
His advocate told the court he was not aware of any evidence of damage to other vehicles.
Adjourning the case until the 19th of December for sentence, Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes warned Moraru he could expect a custodial sentence.
