Fourth conviction in five years
A Douglas man who was caught drink-driving for the fourth time in five years has avoided being sent to prison.
Peter Rose of Cronk Ny Breiny in Tromode was stopped by police on Loch Promenade on November 21 last year when they noticed he had no headlights on.
A breath test found he was almost twice over the limit and he admitted he’d drunk four glasses of wine.
The court heard he had three previous drink-driving convictions –most recently last May – from when he’d lived in Spain.
