The Steam Packet Company says the Manannan won’t sail again until at least Saturday.
Today, the company issued an update after the fastcraft sucked debris into an engine last week – causing travel problems which were compounded by this week’s fog.
Repairs are underway on the vessel, which could resume its normal schedule on Saturday morning - passengers booked on Friday’s voyages have been asked to contact 661661 to make alternative arrangements.
The MV Arrow and P&O Express have both been chartered to help the company cope with freight and passenger traffic.
