Sailing had left the Island at 3pm
The Manannan has left Douglas and is now on its way to Liverpool.
Earlier today, the 3pm sailing which left the Island for Liverpool returned half an hour later due to a medical emergency on board.
In a statement the Steam Packet Company says Manannan’s crew coordinated with Isle of Man emergency services, ambulance and paramedics.
The patient was treated on board and then transferred to the ambulance to be taken to hospital.
The sailing then resumed its crossing to Liverpool at just before 4.30pm.
Due to this incident, tonight's return sailing from Liverpool back to the Island is now delayed.
It will depart at 8pm, with passengers asked to check-in no later than 7.30pm.
