Further disruption possible later in the week
This afternoon's Manannan sailing to Liverpool has been delayed due to the weather conditions.
The Steam Packet Company says the 2pm crossing will now depart at 3pm instead, with passengers asked to check in by 2.15pm.
Meanwhile, the operator is warning there could also be disruption to Wednesday's services.
A final decision on the Ben-my-Chree's 8.45am departure to Heysham and the 2.15pm return sailing will be made by 7am, with an announcement on the 2pm Manannan trip to Liverpool and 7.15pm crossing from Liverpool due by 12pm.
The conditions could also impact the 8.15pm Manxman sailing to Heysham and Thursday's 2.15am crossing to Douglas - a decision on those services will be made by 6pm on Wednesday.
Ronaldsway Met Office is currently forecasting gusts reaching up to 70mph on Wednesday.
