Manchester Airport Group confirms her resignation
The boss of Manchester Airport has quit her role following long passenger security queues and staff shortages at the facility.
Karen Smart steps down from the position she's held since the start of the pandemic.
It follows a turbulent few months for the hub which saw a surge of flights and travellers since the UK Government lifted Covid-19 restrictions.
Manx passengers have been among those impacted by the delays, with several reporting that they had missed flights to the Island because of the queues.
