A Manx advocate who was found guilty of money laundering and falsifying documents has had her convictions quashed.
Jenny Holt was convicted in 2011 and was given a 12-month sentence suspended for two years.
Ms Holt had been found guilty of handling £400,000 which had been stolen by Trevor and Wendy Baines to cover their legal fees in their own money laundering trial.
Ms Holt was a member of the Baineses' legal team.
Her convictions have been quashed by the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council in London, the highest Court of Appeal for the Isle of Man.
The Privy Council today found the Deemster's directions to the jury were deficient and fatal to the safety of the convictions.
James Saunders, one of the solicitors acting for Ms Holt, said he never doubted her innocence, and felt privileged to have seen Lord Hughes allow her appeal, and in doing so give her back her good character and career.
