Ramsey man looking forward to summer exhibition
An artist from Ramsey is looking on the bright side after almost securing a place in one of Britain's most prestigious galleries.
The Royal Academy in London is opening its Summer Exhibition today (Tue), with work from national icons on show alongside amateurs and outsiders.
Curator and Turner Prize winner Grayson Perry has met critical acclaim for his 'democratic' and 'colourful' take on the annual exhibition.
Michael Starkey was one of those to make the shortlist, but ultimately missed out with his painting of Cregneash village.
But he's looking forward to an exhibition of his own over the summer.
