New shelter installed at national reserve to mark occasion
An initiative aimed at nurturing a new generation of conservationists on the Island has been launched.
Manx Birdlife's Outdoor Education Programme will provide people of all ages with the knowledge, understanding and skills needed to monitor and protect nature into the future.
The launch was marked with the opening of a new education shelter at the charity's Point of Ayre National Reserve, by patrons Lieutenant Governor Sir John Lorimer and Lady Philippa Lorimer.
