Manx Care is advertising its job offer for the role of Executive Medical Director.
It's after Dr Sreeman Andole departed on 30 June.
He had been on secondment in the UK since March last year, with Dr Marina Hudson appointed as interim medical director in his absence.
A job description does not reveal the total salary for the role but does state they are looking for someone 'credible, resilient and politically astute'.
It reads: "Our new Executive Medical Director will provide inspirational leadership to our medical professionals as a core member of the Executive Team; committed to the strategic transformation of our health and care services.
"Reporting to our Chief Executive, Teresa Cope, you will engage our medical and wider clinical workforce in creating a vision for integration and champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation that will allow us to achieve our huge potential as a dynamic organisation providing holistic integrated health and care services.
"Working closely with the Board, this is a unique and exciting opportunity to collaborate across our health and social care system, making a meaningful difference for our people and the populations we serve."
The closing date for applicants is Monday 16 September.
