MHK asks whether previous 4% offer could be increased
Manx Care executives are said to be in discussions with representatives from the Royal College of Nursing to better understand the union’s demands.
In February 2025, Manx Care imposed a four percent pay award, stating it could not offer more due to funding restrictions.
The RCN held an indicative ballot on industrial action, with 70 percent voting in favour of strikes.
The union previously voiced concerns that the pay award for the 2024-25 financial year wouldn't be backdated for those who've already left Manx Care.
Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper twice asked the health minister whether there was any scope to increase the offer:
Minister Claire Christian told the court she did not have that information available.
