'Still Treasured, Always Remembered' service for bereaved families
A service of remembrance will be held this afternoon (29 December) for parents who have lost a child through stillbirth or miscarriage.
Midwives at Noble's Hospital organise the service each year to support the families.
Proceedings will get underway from 14.00 at St. Thomas' Church in Douglas.
Bereavement charities 'Forget Me Not' and 'A Little Piece of Hope' will be in attendance to offer advice.
Manx Care's Lead Midwife for Bereavement Dianne Rubery says it's 'vital' anyone who's experienced the loss of a baby to be able to talk about their struggles.
