Information Commissioner pleased with board's progress
Manx Care won't have to pay a £170,000 fine for data breaches after the board showed it's improved how it handles information.
The Information Commissioner handed the healthcare board the penalty in July last year after patients' medical details were emailed to more than 1,800 recipients.
Chief Executive Teresa Cope confirmed at the organisation's board meeting that Manx Care has been providing the Information Commissioner with monthly updates since being handed the fine.
She says that the notice has now been stayed:
