A Manx boy will take centre stage in the BBC's 'Carol's From King's' today (TUES).
Thirteen-year old Tom Pickard is the son of the late Alan Pickard who inspired countless numbers of children on the Island to become involved in music during his long career as an educator and conductor of choirs and orchestras.
Tom is a chorister at King's College, Cambridge, and will sing the solo verse of 'Once in Royal David's City' during Radio 4's classic 'Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols'.
The service was first broadcast from King's College Chapel in 1928, and the live broadcast at 3pm is now heard worldwide by millions of people.
The service is shown on television this evening and repeated on Radio 3 at 2pm on Christmas Day.
