Nickolas Ellis heading to Donington Park this weekend
A young up-and-coming racing driver from the Island says he's 'really excited' to make his debut at the GB4 Championship.
17-year-old Nickolas Ellis, from Port Erin, will make his first appearance in the series at Donington Park this weekend (7-8 September) with the Elite Motorsport team.
The competition is described as 'an entry level championship for aspiring F1 drivers'.
Having previously enjoyed success in sailing, winning his fleet in the RS Tera World Championship, Ellis began seriously pursing karting in 2021.
Since then he's gone on to make 22 appearances in the Ginetta Junior Championship.
Nickolas told Manx Radio it's 'always been a dream' of his to race a single-seater car and hopes this can help him to continue progressing his motorsport career:
