Manx farmer 'delighted' but aware 'far from out of the woods'

On Friday, Milan Veterinary Practice announced it will continue farm services from 1 December. 

A Manx farmer says she is grateful that Milan Veterinary Practice will continue to offer its farm service beyond the end of the month, but admits farmers are 'far from out of the woods'.

Last week, the practice announced it would be stopping its treatment of livestock from the end of the month due to a decline in farm clients.

However, in a letter sent to customers on Friday, the practice said it has listened to the feedback and will continue its services from 1 December.

Manx Radio Countryside presenter Kirree Kermode - from Orrisdale Farm in Ballasalla - says she's worried about the provision of the service in the long run.

She adds while a lot of farmers anxiety has eased since Friday, they need to remain vigilant of what's to come.
