R2 Folk Award winners celebrate
One of the local winners of a major British music prize says it demonstrates the strength of traditional music in the Island.
Four-piece Imar took the Horizon Award at BBC Radio 2's Folk Awards on Wednesday night.
They were one of three Manx nominations, alongside fellow traditional outfit Alaw, and 18-year-old harpist Mera Royle, who was named best Young Artist.
Fiddler Tom Callister told Manx Radio to have been recognised among the best of British folk artists was testament to the nation's scene:
