Minister concerned for vulnerable over winter
A new minister has promised to take up concerns about the government's pricing agreement with Manx Gas.
The issue was the dominant theme at Question Time in the Hosue of Keys yesterday (25 Oct).
Without a current chairman of the Office of Fair Trading, DEFA Minister Geoffrey Boot fielded questions from a number of members.
He undertook to go to the OFT to ensure the vulnerable in society will be looked after over the coming winter.
One of those to quiz Mr Boot was Ramsey MHK Dr Alex Allinson.
He says the current charging system of standing rates and tariffs penalises those who are low users:
