It could be brought in before winter
Manx Gas has confirmed it's looking to introduce a new social tariff to help low to middle earners most affected by rising fuel bills.
The company has confirmed it's reviewing all of its tariffs in light of extra financial pressures.
Gas bills on the Isle of Man have increased by more than 100 per cent compared to this time last year.
Jo Cox – the chief executive of Manx Gas' parent company Islands Energy Group – confirmed the idea had been put to them by Douglas South MHK Claire Christian:
