More transparent approach promised
Manx Gas is launching a Customer Charter.
It follows criticism from consumers via a facebook protest group and in the media.
Among the key promises, a commitment to refund any overpayment on standing charge banding made in error and a promise to review banding on at least an annual basis.
Manx Gas is to work with the Manx Government in the forthcoming regulatory review which will be led by the Chief Minister's gas regulatory review committee.
This work, including a review of the pricing structure, is not expected to start until the new year.
