Firm reviews standing charge price regime
Manx Gas says the review it's promised of its pricing regime will span tariffs, standing charges and the 'cap' on profits agreed with the Office of Fair Trading.
The company's due to report back to the Treasury minister by the end of the month.
Alf Cannan held talks with Manx Gas directors last week, after resentment over standing charges prompted a public demonstration, which saw around 20 people protest outside the company's office in Douglas.
Managing Director Tony Nicholls says around 60% of customers pay slightly less for standing charges since the banding system was introduced.
And he says gas prices have fallen by just over 7% since 2015.
But Mr Nicholls admits the company's been slow to embrace social media as a way of reaching its customer base:
