Treetop lodge swaying as quake struck
A Foxdale couple on honeymoon have spoken of their relief after they were caught up in the earthquake which rocked New Zealand.
Charlie and Briony Vernon were in Kaikoura when the South Island was struck by a tremor of 7.8.
After the initial drama, they managed to get to higher ground in a camper van and later chartered a plane to evacuate to Christchurch.
Charlie says they were in a treetop lodge when the tremors struck.
