Plan remains in place, says Wirral Council
A Merseyside local authority is insisting a plan to set up a Manx technology university is going ahead – despite reports plans have been abandoned.
Wirral Council says it’s still in negotiations to lease one of its unused buildings for an Isle of Mann University ICT Faculty.
It’s still unclear, however, who’s behind the development and what links it has to the Island.
And when asked about claims the proposals had now been dropped, a spokesperson for the council said: ‘We are looking into the reports, however, as far as we are aware, talks about the proposed facility are continuing and plans have not been shelved.’
